Peter Bergen "Lied" on Kola Boof

*Kola Boof responds to misinformation by journalist Peter Bergen and is praised by two world literary scholars--her autobiography chosen as BEST BOOK OF 2006.

Noted Bin Laden biographer Peter Bergen, who has called Novelist Kola Boof a "pathological liar" and "fraud" for admitting her 1996 involvement with Osama Bin Laden, posted a blog entry last week incorrectly stating that Ayman al Zawahir was in prison at the time Ms. Boof writes in her autobiography that she knew him and that two men Ms. Boof had written about having sex with in her autobiography were in fact "dead" at the time said act took place. Ironically, Ms. Boof's book was chosen "Best Book of 2006" by noted Princeton critic/scholar Kam Williams. Kola Boof responded to Bergen's comments in a statement this morning:

"Ayman al Zawahiri", says Kola Boof, "was not arrested until December of 1996 in Chechnya, and was not imprisoned until April 1997, which is nearly a year after I encountered him at a Bin Laden gathering. Additionally...the two men mentioned in my book, Abdullah Azzam and Sayyid Qutb, were not in their seventies or eighties as Bergen alleges--they were around twenty-seven, as I was, and they were introduced to me as the SON and GRANDSON of the elderly dead men Peter Bergen has falsely claimed I was writing about. Anyone who reads my book will realize that I had no way of knowing who anyone at Osama's gathering was other than relying on what I was told by the men. There is nothing in my book that is a lie--I wrote the truth and nothing but the truth as I remembered it.

Just as The Connie Chung Show remarked several years ago that a man of Bin Laden's stature and religious piety would never have a 'black woman' as his mistress...so, too, is Peter Bergen dead wrong.

I consider Peter Bergen to be nothing more than a glorified Bin Laden GROUPIE. An arrogant bully who behaves as though someone appointed him GOD and claims to know for a fact that Somi has never been to Morocco--yet with all his bogus radar has failed to ever capture or deliver Bin Laden. That is because Bergen's whole obsession with Somi is represented by heresay, while in my case, I actually lived with Osama."

Kola Boof, who according to an April 9th, 2003 U.N. Human Rights Report was the target of a "fatwa" by the Sudanese government, and is the same woman who secured guns and ammunition from Israel in 2004 to support Sudan's South Rebel Army in their war against Sudan's Arab government, the same woman whose poem "Chol Apieth" was used to memoralize John Garang at his state funeral and is the same woman who was given the title "QUEEN KOLA" by her commanders in the SPLA, went on to say that she has never referred to herself as a "sex slave", and that although she is a Liberal Democrat, she believes the U.S. Media hates her because they fear her first hand accounts of Arab Muslim Imperialism will drive African-Americans to support a Republican agenda. The N.Y. Times, in 2002, suggested Boof doesn't exist, defended Bin Laden ally Gamal Ibrahim's public threats against Boof's life and incorrectly reported that she was a prostitute.

"They make fun of my name", said Kola Boof. "They claim to be serious journalists, people worthy of appraising my truth, yet they don't understand simple things like why a Nilotic African woman would pose topless or why she would refuse to be called a 'sex slave'. They can believe that Somi bombed the twin towers...but not that he planted tracking devices in the teeth of his guards. They can take Peter Bergen's hypothesis at face value, but because I am an African woman--I am to remain faceless."

Two of world literature's most legendary Scholars, Derrick Bell of N.Y. University and Chinweizu of Nigeria have recently come to Kola Boof's defense--Bell praising Boof's personal character in Britain's Mail on Sunday--and Chinweizu citing that he fully believes Ms. Boof's affair with Bin Laden and that the Western Media hates Boof for her support of Israel over Palestine. Derrick Bell has called Kola Boof a "gifted" literary writer, while Chinweizu, in a letter to Chinua Achebe and Toni Morrison, has called her--"Africa's most important new writer".

Egyptian-Sudanese-American novelist Kola Boof is the mother of two sons and the author of the modern African classics, "Long Train to the Redeeming Sin" and "Flesh and the Devil".
